Student Killed in Bandung Minibus Collision

Police in Bandung reported that an 18‑year‑old student identified as FRR died after his Honda Beat motorcycle collided with a Toyota Avanza minibus on Jalan KHP Hasan Mustopa in the early hours of Thursday, 25 June 2026. The crash occurred around 02:30 WIB when the motorbike, traveling west to east, struck the minibus turning north. The victim was taken to Hasan Sadikin Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators said preliminary findings point to human error, noting the rider may have been distracted. They also found the motorcycle lacked a front light, had a non‑standard exhaust and had been mechanically modified. Police continue to examine all factors surrounding the incident, according to Satlantas officer AKP Fiekry Adi Perdana.
