Student scholarship programs announce upcoming payment schedules

Educational assistance programs in Mexico and Panama have announced upcoming payment schedules and card distributions for students.

In Mexico, Becas Bienestar will distribute pending payments between August 24 and August 28. This disbursement is specifically for students who have recently received their Banco del Bienestar cards but have outstanding scholarship funds. The program includes beneficiaries of the Rita Cetina scholarship (primary and secondary), the Benito Juárez scholarship (upper secondary), and Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro (higher education). National coordinator Julio León noted that amounts may vary per student depending on accumulated pending payments.

In Panama, the Institute for the Training and Utilization of Human Resources (IFARHU) announced that the delivery of cards for the first payment of the Universal Educational Social Assistance Program (PASE-U) will begin in the Tortí regional agency. The distribution is scheduled for August 28, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., covering various educational centers across the Chepo, Chimán, and Guna de Madugandí regions in the Darién province.
