Student transport initiatives launched in Dominican Republic and Chile

In the Dominican Republic, the National Student Transport System (TRAE) has added a new route in Villa Tapia, Hermanas Mirabal province. The delivery of a new bus will benefit students in the San José de Conuco sector, bringing the total national coverage to 838 routes. The initiative aims to facilitate student mobility and support educational access.

In Chile, the province of Talca will implement TNE (Tarjeta Nacional Estudiantil) validators on Taxutal and Abate Molina buses starting November 1. This modernization effort, coordinated by the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications and Junaeb, will allow over 80,000 students to access discounted fares via electronic reading. The rollout includes technological testing and a socialization phase to ensure correct usage of the student benefit.
