Students achieve near-perfect scores for University of Lisbon entrance
Two Portuguese students, Afonso Pires and Miguel Miranda, have achieved exceptional results in their entrance to higher education, both securing average scores of 19.
Afonso Pires, from Elvas, obtained a final average of 19.4 and will study Applied Mathematics for Economics and Management at the Institute of Economics and Management (ISEG) at the University of Lisbon. He noted that there is no magic formula for success, emphasizing the importance of developing individual study methods rather than just studying for long hours.
Miguel Miranda, from Campo Maior, achieved an average of 19 to enter the Aerospace Engineering course at Instituto Superior Técnico, also part of the University of Lisbon. He attributed his success to hard work and the ability to balance academic life with social activities, noting that the achievement fulfills a childhood dream.
