Students achieve success in National History Olympiad of Brazil

Students from various Brazilian regions have achieved notable success in the 18th edition of the National History Olympiad of Brazil (ONHB), organized by the University of Campinas (Unicamp).

In Osório, students Davi de Oliveira, Ariane Firme Moro, and Lucas Griebeler from the Ângelo Gamba Municipal School earned a crystal medal during the final stage held in Campinas. The team, guided by history teacher Marcos Evaldt, progressed to the finals after previously winning a gold medal at the state level. They were among approximately 354 finalist teams selected from an initial pool of roughly 250,000 participants nationwide.

In Itabuna, students Júlia Tavares and Giovana Marcela from the Heribaldo Dantas Municipal School reached the state semifinals. Representing the Corujas do Sul team, their progress marked the school's first participation in the competition. The students advanced through multiple stages of the contest, which requires research, source analysis, and critical thinking skills.
