Students explore traditional Croatian crafts through educational field trips

Students from Croatia and Hungary participated in educational field trips focused on preserving traditional crafts and local heritage. In Kotoriba, students from three schools, including those from Szeredhely, Hungary, engaged in a joint excursion as part of the HOMA cooperation. The program included a basket-weaving workshop at OPG Pogorelec led by Boris Pogorelec and a visit to Pišpekova blacksmith shop, where Vladimir Vugrinčić demonstrated the creation of forged coins.

In Gračani, students visited the HSPD Podgorac local heritage collection located in a former folk school. The visit featured historical documents, traditional Gračani clothing, and antique tools. The excursion also included a visit to the Gračani mill on the Ribnjak stream, which is maintained by the Banić family and remains functional for grinding flour.
