Students in Aomori honored in calligraphy and traffic safety contests

Elementary and junior high school students in Aomori Prefecture were awarded for their achievements in calligraphy and traffic safety poster competitions. Organized by JA Kyosai Ren Aomori to promote a spirit of compassion in the next generation, the events drew significant participation.

The calligraphy competition received 5,630 entries from 294 schools, while the traffic safety poster contest saw 282 entries from 87 schools. Winners ranging from first-grade elementary students to third-year junior high students were presented with certificates on October 28.

Winning posters will be exhibited in Aomori City, Hirosaki City, and Oirase Town throughout November.
