Students in Castelli Romani protest school flooding and damage

Students in the Castelli Romani region of Italy are organizing protests to denounce deteriorating school conditions caused by heavy rainfall. At the Ugo Foscolo classical high school in Albano, students have already begun a strike, refusing to enter approximately fifteen classrooms due to water infiltration and unusable spaces. The school's gymnasium has also been declared unusable following flooding and floor damage.

A planned march and strike are scheduled to move from Albano to Ariccia, where students from the James Joyce high school and the Vailati high school in Genzano will join the mobilization. The protesters are demanding urgent institutional intervention to ensure safe and adequate learning environments. At the Vailati high school, students and parents are also contesting the recent relocation of several classrooms to a different building in Cecchina.
