Students in León propose app to report school environment issues

Students from the Bachillerato Bivalente Militarizado León II have developed a winning project for a mobile application designed to report various situations occurring within the school environment. The initiative was created during the “Youth Leadership in Prevention” training session, an event organized by the Undersecretariat of Prevention of the Secretariat of Security and Peace.

The project emerged from a Hackathon challenge aimed at fostering innovation, collaborative work, and responsible decision-making among youth. The competition focused on themes such as leadership, social cohesion, legality, violence prevention, community projects, and addiction prevention. Elia Bárbara Lugo Delgado, the Undersecretary of Prevention, encouraged students to act as agents of change by identifying conflicts and proposing peaceful resolutions within their educational settings.
