Students in Mato Grosso win awards in technology and robotics competitions

Students from Mato Grosso have secured top honors in two distinct regional technology competitions held in Cuiabá.

In the OLIMPIC 2026 organized by Senac-MT, a team of public school students won first place with 'Nichos'. The digital platform integrates artificial intelligence, physical activities, and rewards to combat sedentary lifestyles. The winning group included Vitor Silva, Guilherme Almeida, Rafael Araújo, and Nicolas.

Separately, at the 2nd State High Tech Festival, two robotics teams from Escola Estadual Professor Heliodoro Capistrano da Silva achieved podium finishes. The 'Heliobot Technology' team took first place with 'BioMercury', a project designed to reduce mercury contamination in water bodies using water hyacinth phytoremediation and sensor monitoring. The 'Heliobot Technology 2.0_Arkhaios' team secured third place with 'Arkhaios', a project utilizing 3D scanning to improve access to archaeological and historical knowledge.
