Students in Occidente prepare for national arts festival

More than 1,400 students participated in the regional final of the Student Arts Festival (FEA) held from October 6 to 9 at the Colegio Técnico Profesional in Zarcero. The event drew over 2,000 attendees during its four-day duration.

Participants showcased various disciplines, including performing arts, dramatic and movement arts, literary arts, musical arts, visual arts, and digital arts. The regional stage serves as a pathway for students to advance to the national encounter, which is scheduled to take place from November 23 to December 4, 2026.

The festival, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026, is supported by the Occidente Regional Education Directorate (DREO) to promote artistic development within the educational system.
