Students in Onomichi and Akita engage in local policy and debate

In Onomichi, 23 students from middle schools, high schools, and universities held an active ‘Student Council’ meeting. The discussions focused on supporting youth to remain in the city, including a proposed rent subsidy system for young residents.

In Akita City, 86 high school students from 15 schools participated in a prefectural English impromptu debate competition. The event, held at the Akita Prefectural Lifelong Learning Center, featured two divisions: Division I, won by Akita Minami A, and Division II for beginners, won by Akita Kita B.
