Students in Romania participate in entrepreneurial and financial competitions
Various entrepreneurial and financial education competitions are engaging students across Romania. At the PRO INVENT 2026 International Salon for Scientific Research, Innovation, and Inventions in Cluj-Napoca, students from the University of Oradea's Student Entrepreneurial Society (SAS-UO) secured multiple awards in an IT-focused business idea pitch competition.
Winners from the University of Oradea included Demien Levente, who took first place with the Study Swap application, followed by Ilea Ilulia, Sabou Georgiana, and Bondici Paul in second place with the ReClar App, and Alexandru-Daniel Dărăban in fifth place with the Petuno application.
In a separate initiative, the fifth edition of the Financial Education Caravan is hosting a business idea contest for high school students in Târgu Jiu. Organized by the National Federation of Parents FNaP ProEdu with support from ING Bank Romania, the competition offers prizes of up to 1,200 euros per student for top performers. The program aims to provide practical financial training to help adolescents make informed decisions regarding planning and money management.
