Students in Xochitepec participate in disability awareness workshop

More than 250 students from the Centro de Bachillerato Tecnológico Agropecuario (CBTA) 335 in Atlacholoaya, Xochitepec, participated in the “Tren de la Discapacidad” experiential workshop. Organized by the Xochitepec City Council’s Directorate for Attention to Persons with Disabilities, the program aimed to foster inclusion, respect, and empathy through practical exercises simulating vision loss, hearing loss, and wheelchair use.

In addition to disability awareness, students received training on disability prevention, covering topics such as accident prevention, the risks of alcohol consumption, speeding, and the importance of using helmets and seatbelts. Local authorities stated these activities are part of a permanent program to promote a culture of inclusion and respect across municipal schools.
