Students participate in German-Polish exchange programs

Students from Germany and Poland have participated in recent educational exchange programs aimed at fostering cultural connections.

In one initiative, 15 eighth-grade students from Kranich-Gymnasium traveled from Germany to Olsztyn, Poland, as part of the Erasmus+ “Building Bridges” project. Despite initial travel delays involving German rail services, the group stayed with Polish host families to experience local daily life. During their visit, they attended Szkoła Podstawowa nr 18 in the Dajtki district, noting differences in classroom dynamics and structure.

In a separate exchange, students from ZSP 5 (SP 18) in Racibórz, Poland, traveled to Roth, Germany. The program included interactive integration activities, a creative competition titled “Castles and Palaces,” and visits to historical sites such as Ratibor Castle, Linderhof in Bavaria, Neuschwanstein, and Nuremberg. The exchange emphasized cultural immersion through stays with German host families and collaborative school activities.
