Students reach finals of Alumnitos international writing contest

Students from various Argentine provinces have reached the final stages of the 6th Alumnitos Writing Contest, an international competition that also includes participants from Spain, Uruguay, Mexico, and Colombia.

In the Cuyo region, two schools from San Juan have been selected as finalists. The works include ‘El mensaje en la botella’ by students from Escuela Presidente Avellaneda, and ‘El secreto de las termas de La Laja’ from Escuela Juan Mantovani. The top three positions for this region will be determined through an online vote scheduled for September 28.

Representing San Luis, students Tiziano Devia and Tadeo Brito from Escuela Nº417 ‘Granadero Florencio Navarro’ in Tilisarao have also advanced to the final with their story, ‘El Pelado y el misterio del monte de Tilisarao’. The contest aims to encourage literary creation by having students explore and narrate their local identities, customs, and cultural landscapes.
