Students visit Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata for agricultural education

Eighty-four students from Escuela Primaria N.º 10 ‘Malvinas Argentinas’ participated in an educational visit to the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata. The visit was part of the extension program ‘Sembrando saberes y experiencias con las manos en la tierra’, which connects the school with researchers, students, INTA, and CONICET.

The students engaged in three specific stations designed to teach food production and consumption. These included ‘Manos a la Tierra’, focusing on crop maintenance in the faculty garden; ‘Manos a la Olla’, involving food analysis and handling in laboratories alongside food science students; and ‘Manos a la creatividad’, which used play-based activities to reflect on the journey of food from the farm to the table. The initiative aims to strengthen the school's garden project as a space for collective learning and participation.
