Students win multiple awards at Gramado Film Festival
Students from various Brazilian educational institutions achieved significant recognition at the 54th Gramado Film Festival during the 2nd National Student Video Showcase, EducaVideo.
Colégio Pastor Dohms from Porto Alegre secured seven out of nine available awards in the High School category. Notably, student Valentina Elia won Best Short Film for her production ‘PSIC’. The school’s success is attributed to its CineDohms program, which integrates audiovisual training into its pedagogy through specialized laboratories and equipment.
Representing the Recife Municipal School Network, students from the Reitor João Alfredo and Maria Sampaio de Lucena Full-Time Municipal Schools also earned two awards. Student Arthur Campos, director of the short film ‘Reitor João Alfredo’, received awards for Best Editing and Best Screenplay. This follows his success in 2025, where his film ‘Cicatrizes Invisíveis’ won Best Screenplay and Best Short Film.
