STUDIO 909 releases demo for Quiet Express: Cabin 909

STUDIO 909 has released a playable demo for its upcoming mystery adventure game, ‘Quiet Express: Cabin 909’, available now on PC via Steam. Directed by Kazuhide Oka, the game is scheduled for a full release in 2027.

The narrative follows a protagonist aboard a transcontinental train, searching for a non-existent ‘Cabin 909’. The gameplay involves exploring various train cars, solving puzzles, and interacting with a diverse cast of passengers, including various fantasy races. A central mechanic involves a time loop triggered by a catastrophic train derailment that occurs on the seventh day of the journey, forcing the player to repeat the week to uncover the mystery and prevent the accident.

The project has received support through the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s ‘Sofu’ indie game acceleration program.
