Studio BBB releases MONOWAVE for PC and Nintendo Switch

Studio BBB has announced the release of MONOWAVE, a puzzle-adventure platformer, now available on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch. Developed in partnership with Phoenixx, the game features a limited-time 10% launch discount. Versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are expected to arrive in 2026.

Players control Mono, a newborn Guardian tasked with restoring balance to a mysterious world by collecting four core emotions: Anxiety, Anger, Sadness, and Happiness. Each emotion grants unique movement and interaction abilities, such as detecting traps with Anxiety or performing wall jumps with Anger. These emotions also influence interactions with 18 spirits found throughout the journey, creating 72 possible combinations for puzzle-solving and exploration.

The game includes four major boss encounters themed around these emotions, along with eight hidden stages spread across the four main regions. Players can also explore various codices detailing the spirits, environments, and worlds encountered during the adventure.
