Studio Rodin traveling exhibition arrives in Sanvignes

The Studio Rodin, a traveling exhibition designed by the Rodin Museum, has arrived in Sanvignes. The initiative, supported by the Creusot-Montceau urban community and the Écomusée, aims to democratize access to art by bringing high-quality reproductions to local residents and schools.

The Sanvignes exhibition is hosted at the local library and features three modules containing reproductions of works by Auguste Rodin and Camille Claudel, including ‘The Thinker’, ‘The Kiss’, ‘The Hands’, and ‘The Cathedral’. These pieces were created using original molds and are rendered in materials such as patinated resin, marble, bronze, or plaster.

To enhance the educational experience, the exhibition includes the ‘Rodinothèque’, a pedagogical tool offering seven different activities. These activities cover themes such as modeling, drawing, and balance, designed to be led by teachers or mediators for students ranging from preschool to middle school.
