Studio Size wins Red Dot: Best of the Best award for Exat project

Zagreb-based Studio Size, in collaboration with design studio Hot Type, has received the prestigious Red Dot: Best of the Best award for their interactive project and website for the Exat typographic system.

The Exat typeface was developed by Hot Type as a complex system comprising 21 styles and 1,715 characters. Studio Size was responsible for the presentation concept, which utilized a ‘motion-first’ approach involving posters, animation, kinetic typography, and a microsite.

Jurica Koletić, partner and art director at Studio Size, noted that the project's inspiration came from the rhythm and dynamics found in the works of Ivan Picelja at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb. The international jury recognized the project for its fusion of modernist heritage, technological execution, and innovative user experience.
