Toei Animation and Studio51 announce new game Expelled from Paradise

Toei Animation and Studio51 have announced that the new science-fiction visual novel, ‘Expelled from Paradise: The Stellar Angel’, will be released on November 26, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and Steam.

The game serves as a bridge between the 2014 film ‘Expelled from Paradise’ and the upcoming film ‘Expelled from Paradise: Resonance’. It features an original story written by Shotaro Tesugi, set in the year 2400. The plot follows characters Angela Balzac and Dingo as they navigate a world where most of humanity lives in a virtual space called DEVA, while mysterious new lifeforms called Paraflora emerge on the ravaged Earth.

Players will interact with the ‘K2-system’, a mechanic where choices regarding Angela’s emotional state—between ‘Kizuna’ (bonds) and ‘Kakugo’ (resolve)—will influence the narrative and lead to multiple possible endings. The game will support English and Japanese languages and includes full voice acting for key scenes.
