Study: 9 in 10 Europeans consider moving abroad, Spain most desired

A survey of 2,000 adults in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy finds that nine‑tenths of respondents are open to relocating to another country. The main driver is rising living costs, cited by 53% of Britons, 48% of French, 43% of Germans and 32% of Italians. Spain emerges as the top destination, favored by 24% of British and 20% of Italians, and also ranking highly among French (16%) and Germans (12%). Other favored locations include Canada for the French, Austria and Switzerland for Germans, and Australia, Canada and New Zealand for the British. The study, commissioned by the digital insurer Feather and conducted by research firm 3Gem, also notes a growing interest in a “digital nomad” lifestyle, where people work remotely while moving between countries.
