Sturm Graz draws 1-1 with WSG Tirol in Austrian league opener

Sturm Graz and WSG Tirol played to a 1-1 stalemate in the first round of the Austrian Bundesliga. Sturm took the lead in the 29th minute when Polish forward Szymon Wlodarczyk beat the goalkeeper, but WSG equalised two minutes later through Michael Olakigbe.

The match, attended by about 2,230 spectators on a pitch still showing wear from a previous second‑division game, marked the first time the vice‑champions failed to win in this season. Sturm Graz remain unbeaten in 17 league matches, while WSG Tirol looked to build on the draw as the campaign begins.
