Sturm Graz signs goalkeeper Stejskal

Czech goalkeeper Stejskal has joined the Austrian club Sturm Graz as a free agent. The move comes as a response to a serious injury sustained by the team's first-choice goalkeeper, Daniil Chudjakov, who suffered a broken leg during a match against Grazer AK and has undergone surgery.

Stejskal, who previously played for WSG Tirol and made nearly 100 appearances in the Austrian league, expressed satisfaction with the timing of the offer. He noted that his previous experience in Austria will allow for a seamless transition without the need for acclimatization. Sturm Graz's sporting director, Michael Parensen, described Stejskal as an excellent solution to bolster the squad for the remainder of the season.

Stejskal is expected to provide depth for both the domestic league, where Sturm Graz currently sits in fourth place, and the Europa League campaign.
