Sturno San Michele Arcangelo patron saint festival religious celebrations Italian traditions

The town of Sturno has announced the program for the upcoming festivities in honor of its patron saint, San Michele Arcangelo, scheduled for September 29 and 30, 2026.

On September 29, celebrations will include a traditional band parade, multiple Eucharistic celebrations, and a solemn Mass at 6:00 PM. This central event will feature the traditional handing over of the town keys and a blessing for children dressed as angels. A procession accompanied by the ‘Città di Rutigliano’ band will follow the Mass.

The festivities will conclude on September 30 with a lottery drawing and a musical performance by Aiello.
