Stuttgart judicial auction yields 2.1 million euros from seized luxury goods

A judicial auction held at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart has generated approximately 2.1 million euros from the sale of 22 seized items, including 15 cars, three motorcycles, and four luxury watches. The auction, organized by the Eppli auction house on behalf of the Baden-Württemberg judiciary, featured assets confiscated during criminal proceedings involving money laundering, tax fraud, and drug trafficking.

The standout item was a limited-edition Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimate Roadster, which sold for 710,000 euros. Other high-value sales included a Lamborghini Huracán STO for 370,000 euros and a Lamborghini Urus Performante for 290,000 euros. Even standard vehicles saw significant interest, with a VW Polo selling for 19,000 euros and a VW Multivan for 60,000 euros.

Baden-Württemberg Justice Minister Moritz Oppelt noted that this was the largest auction of its kind in the state's history. According to senior bailiff Alexander Doster, the level of interest from both in-person and online bidders exceeded expectations. The proceeds from the sale will be distributed according to legal requirements, with funds potentially flowing into state coffers or being used to compensate victims, depending on the status of the underlying criminal cases.
