STVR launches second season of folklore exploration series

The second season of the STVR program featuring Jakub Jablonský and Bystrík is set to premiere on September 6 at 18:30. The series focuses on exploring Slovak traditions, folklore, local food, and regional costumes.

Accompanied by ethnologist Katarína Nádaská, the duo will visit locations such as Myjava, Závod, Terchová, Čičmany, Stará Ľubovňa, and Vyšné Ružbachy. Each episode centers on a specific folk song, which the pair will perform alongside local folklorists. Director Samuel Spišák noted that the production aims to present folklore as a living, vibrant element rather than a museum piece, utilizing humor and kindness to appeal to younger audiences.
