STVR reports high viewership for crime series and reveals promotional costs

Slovak public broadcaster STVR has reported significant viewership figures for its programming, highlighted by the success of the crime series ‘Vraždy v dolinách’. The series attracted 380,000 viewers during its September 7 episode, securing a 22.7 percent market share in the 12+ demographic and outperforming competitors from Markíza and JOJ.

STVR noted high audience loyalty for the series, with an average loyalty rate of 71.2 percent. This success contributed to Jednotka’s prime time market share rising to 16.7 percent, marking a 5.6 percentage point increase compared to the previous year.

Separately, details have emerged regarding the promotional costs for the show ‘5 proti 5’ featuring Andy Kraus. STVR spent 60,250 euros on a four-stage marketing campaign, which included an artificial intelligence-generated promotional video. This campaign cost represents approximately seven percent of the 861,492 euros allocated for the production of 80 episodes of the program.
