STVR to relaunch game show 5 proti 5 in August 2026

STVR has announced the return of the popular game show ‘5 proti 5’ following a four-year hiatus. The new iteration, titled ‘5 proti 5 – Nový začiatok’ (New Beginning), is scheduled to premiere on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 18:15.

The program will undergo several changes, most notably the introduction of Andy Kraus as the new host, taking over from Andrej Bičan. While the core concept remains the same—two five-member teams attempting to guess the most common answers provided by a survey of 100 Slovaks—the show aims to introduce a fresher format and a new studio.

The winning team can compete for a financial prize of up to 1,500 euros. The show is set to air every working day at the same time, with reruns scheduled for the following mornings.
