STVR unveils new crime series “Vraždy v dolinách” for fall 2026

Slovak public broadcaster STVR has launched a mysterious teaser campaign for its upcoming crime series “Vraždy v dolinách”. The promotion features short six‑second clips showing peaceful valleys, a police car and a voice‑over promising that “quiet places will become a stage of secrets”. The series is scheduled to debut on Jednotka after the summer holidays, in the autumn of 2026.

Vraždy v dolinách” is a 13‑episode criminal drama set in the tourist region around Liptovský Mikuláš. Production began years ago under former directors Jaroslav Rezník and Ľuboš Machaj, with filming starting in summer 2025 under Martin Flašíková. The story follows three investigators – captain Peter Kapik (Ján Dobrík), captain Michal Babiak (Martin Nahálka) and lieutenant Alžbeta Krivošová (Kristína Spáčová) – as they solve local crimes while confronting personal secrets. The series is directed by Braňo Mišík and written by Martin Jaroš, and STVR promotes it as a major autumn 2026 project alongside other fall programming.
