STVV prepares for Conference League clash against FC Midtjylland

Sint-Truiden (STVV) is set to face FC Midtjylland in the Conference League league phase following a 2-0 victory against Iberia. The Belgian side travels to Denmark for what is considered a significant test against a club with extensive European experience, including previous appearances in the Champions League group stages and the Europa League knockout rounds.

STVV coach Frédéric De Meyer confirmed that key players Shogo Taniguchi and Arbnor Muja are available for the match, providing the squad with a nearly full-strength roster. De Meyer noted that the team enters the match with “nothing to lose” and aims to play with high energy to secure points.

FC Midtjylland enters the fixture seeking redemption after a 1-1 draw against Egnatia. The matchup also features a connection to KRC Genk coach Jess Thorup, who previously played for Midtjylland and highlighted the club's data-driven approach and academy focus during his tenure.
