STW Group expands battery storage projects across Germany

STW Group, a project developer based in Soest, North Rhine‑Westphalia, announced the expansion of its battery‑storage business. The company is developing grid‑service storage projects ranging from kilowatt‑scale units for commercial sites to megawatt‑scale large‑scale installations, with several locations currently under development throughout Germany.

The projects are designed to capture excess wind and solar power, reduce redispatch costs and relieve transmission lines, and are coordinated early with grid operators from site selection through to turnkey delivery. Since its founding in 2019, STW Group has installed more than 1,300 photovoltaic systems, applying that expertise to the new storage portfolio.
