Stylist Law Roach Explains Glamour Philosophy and Celine Dion’s Impact
Law Roach describes his styling approach as a form of storytelling that injects glamour and confidence into a client’s public persona. He cites his work with Zendaya, whom he calls a “regular girl” whose red‑carpet transformations rely on that contrast, and Ariana Grande, whose grounded everyday style becomes theatrical on stage.
Roach says his partnership with Celine Dion sharpened his eye for detail. During fittings Dion would point out every adjustment before he could, forcing him to learn to spot imperfections first. He adopted that exacting standard for all clients and also took lessons about patience and personal interaction. Roach first styled Dion in 2016 after her husband’s death and, after briefly retiring, returned in February 2024 to dress her for a surprise appearance at the 66th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
