Styrian accordion musicians, aged seven to 18, were honored at the Grazer Burg by Governor Mario Kunasek following their performance at the World and State Accordion Championships. The competition was held in June in St. Virgil, South Tyrol.

Kunasek praised the achievements of the young musicians from ten Styrian districts, noting that the delegation secured one vice-world championship title, seven state championship titles, and eight state vice-championship titles, among other high placements. Notable winners included Maximilian Filzmoser, the duo Thomaskus, the Volksklang-Bande, and Steirisch g´surft. Additionally, Philip Matilo Pscheidt earned first place at the state championship and second place at the junior world championship, while Luise Sibert placed second at the state championship and seventh at the junior world championship.

The Governor expressed gratitude to the teachers, families, and representatives of the Harmonikaverband Österreich (HVÖ) for their commitment to supporting the young talents.
