Su Ching-chuan holds campaign rallies in Pingtung County
Kuomintang Pingtung County Magistrate candidate Su Ching-chuan held a series of ‘temple entrance talks’ in Gaoshu and Jiuru townships to engage with local voters. During these events, Su received endorsements from prominent political figures and media personalities.
Legislator Lo Chih-chiang praised Su’s professional background as a physician and his legislative work, noting his dedication to Pingtung’s infrastructure. Legislator Wang Hung-wei also endorsed Su, highlighting his rational approach to politics and his responsiveness to local disasters. Media personality Wang Qian-qiu characterized Su as a gentle and rational individual focused on public welfare.
Su’s campaign platform emphasizes elderly care and social welfare. He proposed expanding the use of elderly welfare cards to include daily necessities like bread and milk in convenience stores, rather than limiting them to transportation and sports. Additionally, he pledged to remove residency restrictions for elderly health insurance to ensure Pingtung residents are not treated as ‘second-class citizens’ due to administrative barriers.
