Suadesa Festival 2026 targets Sleman village economy growth

The Suadesa Festival 2026, held on August 22–23, 2026, in the Tiyasan Culinary Area of Sleman, Yogyakarta, aims to stimulate the village economy by strengthening local MSMEs (UMKM), culinary tourism, and community creativity.

Targeting approximately 1,200 visitors per day, the festival is designed to expand markets for local businesses and introduce the potential of creative economies and village tourism. The event features four main programs: the Suadesa MSME Market, Suadesa People's Stage, Suadesa Workshop, and Suadesa Care.

Approximately 40 local MSMEs and 75 local artists are participating in the event. Sudarja, the Village Head of Sinduharjo, stated that the festival provides a space for community potential to be recognized and aims to increase citizen involvement while opening new opportunities for economic independence.
