Suardiaz Group adds first LNG-ready vessel to its fleet

Suardiaz Group is expanding its fleet with the addition of the RS Atlantico, a Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) built at the Fujian Chuanzheng Shipbuilding yard in China. The vessel, which has a capacity of approximately 5,500 vehicles, 55,000 GT, and a length of 190 meters, is the first in the company’s fleet to feature dual-fuel engines prepared to operate with liquefied natural gas (LNG).

This acquisition is part of a collaboration agreement established in 2024 between Suardiaz Shipping Lines and Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS). The move aligns with the company’s commitment to decarbonizing maritime transport. Suardiaz Group has invested over 360 million euros over the last six years to renew its fleet of chemical tankers, offshore vessels, and car carriers while expanding its global logistics capabilities.

A second dual-fuel PCTC vessel is expected to be delivered by mid-2027.
