Suba Local Government Launches 'Voces que Previenen' Gender Violence Prevention Program

The Suba district of Bogotá has begun a series of pedagogical sessions under the "Voces que Previenen" strategy. The program brings information on gender‑based violence to everyday community spaces such as beauty salons, neighborhood centers and other local venues. Facilitators explain the different forms of violence, warning signs and the city's referral pathways, aiming to give residents practical tools to recognize risk and seek help.

The initiative, coordinated by the Suba Mayor’s Office and the Municipal Secretariat of Government, seeks to embed prevention into daily life, strengthening community networks and encouraging solidarity against gender violence throughout the district.
