Suba traffic accident causes fatality and major road closures

A fatal traffic accident in the Suba locality of Bogotá has caused significant mobility issues near the intersection of Avenida Ciudad de Cali and Avenida Suba, close to the Portal de Suba.

Authorities reported that one person died as a result of the collision. Due to the severity of the incident, Avenida Ciudad de Cali was closed in the southbound to northbound direction to allow criminal investigation units and transit officials to conduct their work.

The accident has also impacted the TransMilenio system, leading to diversions for several feeder routes and SITP services. Specifically, the Áures feeder route is being diverted via Carrera 91 and Avenida Suba, resulting in the omission of five stops and affecting residents in the Lisboa, San Andrés, and Bilbao sectors. Drivers are advised to use Avenida Suba as an alternative route while judicial proceedings continue.
