Subaru celebrates 30 years of the Outback crossover-wagon
Subaru is marking the 30th anniversary of the Outback, a vehicle credited with pioneering the modern crossover-wagon segment. To date, the model has achieved a global sales record of over four million units.
For its seventh generation, Subaru is implementing a regionalized product strategy. In the United States, the company will continue to rely on its traditional boxer engines. In Europe, however, Subaru is introducing a fully electric version of the Outback to celebrate the milestone. This electric model will feature all-wheel drive and a power output of 280 kW (381 PS).
