Subaru expands EV lineup with e-Outback debut in Europe and Trailseeker price cut in Canada

Subaru has introduced the e‑Outback, an all‑electric SUV built in the company’s Gunma Yajima plant in Japan. The model shares its technical base with Toyota’s bZ4X, extending the rear overhang by 16 cm to a total length of 4.85 m and weighing over two tonnes. Designed for the European market, the e‑Outback marks Subaru’s return to electric vehicles after a hiatus in France.

In Canada, Subaru reduced the manufacturer‑suggested price of the 2027 Trailseeker electric SUV by up to $5,000, bringing the base Touring version into eligibility for the federal electric‑vehicle incentive program. The Trailseeker retains its dual‑motor 375‑horsepower drivetrain, a 74.7 kWh lithium‑ion battery offering an estimated 446 km range, and off‑road features such as 210 mm ground clearance and X‑MODE system. It also includes a North American charging standard (NACS) port for public charging networks.
