The 2026 Subaru Crosstrek hybrid features a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors, producing 194 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque. While its fuel economy of approximately 36 mpg is lower than some competitors like the Kia Niro or Toyota Corolla Cross, it offers standard all-wheel drive and 8.7 inches of ground clearance for versatile use.

In Australia, the Subaru Forester Hybrid AWD has been named a finalist for the Fleet Car of the Year at the 2026 Fleet News Group Vehicle Awards. The vehicle utilizes a next-generation strong hybrid system combining a 2.5-litre Boxer engine with a 90kW electric motor for a total output of 145kW. It maintains 220mm of ground clearance and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, with a theoretical driving range exceeding 1,000km.
