Subaru Uncharted electric SUV launches in Germany with front‑wheel‑drive option

Subaru is expanding its electric lineup with the Uncharted, a compact SUV‑coupé that will be available in Germany this summer. It follows the Solterra as the brand’s second fully electric model and is the only Subaru offered with front‑wheel drive.

The Uncharted is built on Toyota’s stiff battery platform, delivering a firm and agile driving feel. It is slightly smaller than the Solterra – 14 cm shorter in length and 10 cm shorter in wheelbase – yet retains a roomy cabin with a 4.54 m length and 2.75 m height, and a versatile cargo space of 403‑1,323 L. Prices start at €36,990, about €6,000 less than the Solterra and €5,000 below the Toyota C‑HR+ that shares its underpinnings.

Inside, Subaru favors classic physical buttons over extensive touch controls, pairing a digital instrument cluster and a large central touchscreen with analog knobs for climate and volume. The vehicle’s design emphasizes a narrow, wind‑slick silhouette and a low‑noise electric motor, aiming to make the transition to EVs easier for existing Subaru customers.
