Subaru updates EV lineup with Uncharted and 2027 Solterra

Subaru is expanding its electric vehicle lineup through its partnership with Toyota, featuring new developments for the Uncharted and the 2027 Solterra models.

The Subaru Uncharted, a coupé-style runabout developed in collaboration with Toyota, utilizes a shared multimedia platform. Unlike many competitors using Android Open Source Project software, this system is built on Automotive Grade Linux with Toyota’s Arene software platform, offering a more stable user experience.

The 2027 Subaru Solterra is set to receive a comprehensive update aimed at improving design, battery range, and performance. The upcoming model will feature a bolder exterior with a three-dimensional closed grille and customizable LED headlight signatures. It will also include refinements to the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system and upgrades to the interior technology suite, building upon the e-Subaru Global Platform.
