Subhash Ghai celebrates 48 years of Mukta Arts

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai has marked the 48th anniversary of Mukta Arts by sharing a throwback video from the company’s silver jubilee celebrations. The footage features veteran actor Dilip Kumar, director Yash Chopra, and Ghai’s mentor N. N. Sippy offering blessings during the milestone event. The video also includes former Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde and Ghai’s wife, Mukta Ghai.

Ghai reflected on his career beginnings in 1975 during the production of his directorial debut, ‘Kalicharan’, and the subsequent establishment of Mukta Films Productions in 1978. He noted the company's history of successful films, including ‘Karz’, ‘Khalnayak’, and ‘Taal’.

As part of the anniversary, Ghai announced the launch of SGM Animation Studios and highlighted ongoing ventures such as Whistling Woods International and Mukta A2 Cinemas. Additionally, he announced a new drama titled ‘Manya’, directed by Sameer Joshi, which reunites Ghai with actor Shreyas Talpade.
