Subhash P. Gupta concludes diplomatic missions in Saint Vincent and Suriname

Subhash P. Gupta, the High Commissioner of India, has concluded his diplomatic tenures in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Suriname through series of farewell visits.

In Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Gupta met with high-level officials, including Prime Minister Dr. Godwin Friday and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dwight Fitzgerald Bramble. A significant outcome of this visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for a Rooftop Solar Electrification Project, aimed at advancing renewable energy and climate resilience.

In Suriname, Gupta met with President Jennifer Simons to reflect on his mission, which began in August 2024. During his tenure, he facilitated food aid, the transfer of defense equipment, and various development projects. Gupta highlighted future opportunities for cooperation in agriculture, technology, and digitalization, noting the importance of the Indian diaspora in maintaining ties between the two nations.
