Sublime releases first album in 30 years featuring Jakob Nowell

The ska punk band Sublime has released its first album in 30 years, titled ‘Until the Sun Explodes’. The new record serves as a tribute to the late lead singer Bradley Nowell, who passed away in 1996. The band’s current lineup features Bradley’s son, Jakob Nowell, on lead vocals, alongside original members Eric Wilson on bass and Bud Gaugh on drums.

The band’s debut single from the album, ‘Ensenada’, recently held the number one spot on the Billboard Alternative charts for eight consecutive weeks. Following a reunion at Coachella in 2024, the group has been performing live, including a recent appearance on Good Morning America in Manhattan and upcoming scheduled performances at the Island Rhodes festival in Rhode Island.
