Subotica hosts 12th annual Makkhetes Family Day

The Makkhetes Local Community in Subotica held its 12th annual Family Day, an event focused on community building and local traditions. The festivities included horseback riding, an inflatable castle, children's programs, a market, and a majorette performance.

A central highlight of the day was a cooking competition. Dr. Bálint Pásztor, president of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians, praised the event for its role in fostering unity, noting that participants travel from various settlements across Vojvodina to attend.

Ferenc Kovács, president of the Makkhetes Tradition-Preserving Citizens' Association, stated that the event was established in 2013 to strengthen the bonds between families, friends, and neighbors.
